Patterson Recruitment Pty Ltd is partnering with a number of leading independent and grammar schools across Australia to source highly experienced Chief Examiners and senior assessment specialists.

We are seeking individuals with a strong background in curriculum leadership and examination oversight who can bring academic rigour, credibility, and subject expertise to senior school programs.

About the Opportunities

Chief Examiners play a pivotal role in supporting schools to deliver excellence in teaching and learning outcomes. Working in collaboration with academic leaders, you will:

• Provide authoritative subject expertise in your discipline
• Contribute to the design, review, and assurance of senior assessment programs
• Mentor and guide teaching teams on assessment practice and exam preparation
• Uphold the highest standards of academic integrity and fairness

These opportunities are available across a range of disciplines at Year 11–12 level. Engagements may be part-time, fixed-term, or consultancy-based depending on school requirements.

About You

We are interested in hearing from professionals with:

• Proven experience as a Chief Examiner, Senior Examiner, or equivalent in state, national, or international assessment frameworks (VCE, HSC, IB, Cambridge, QCE)
• A recognised teaching qualification and substantial classroom or academic leadership experience
• Strong curriculum and assessment knowledge within your subject discipline
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail
• The ability to collaborate with staff, influence practice, and inspire confidence
